Anne Lam, Organist
Anne LAM (Organ) is Director of Music and Organist at Chung Chi College Chapel, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where she also teaches organ performance (Music Department) and sacred music courses (Divinity School). Anne holds a Sacred Music Diploma, Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music, New York. She is a recipient of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund. In 2012, Anne won Second Prize in the 6th Miami International Organ Competition. Anne has performed across the world, including China, Canada, England, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, the Netherlands, New Zealand and the United States. Her recent engagements include three CD recordings with choristers from Macau, performing Handel‘s organ concerto with Asia Collegium Musicum (Japan), and Saint-Saëns’s Symphony No. 3 with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (USA) during the Hong Kong Arts Festival in 2017.
林芍彬 (管風琴) 現為香港中文大學崇基學院禮拜堂音樂統籌及風琴師，並兼任該大學音樂系管風琴導師及神學院研究生課程講師。她獲頒香港賽馬會音樂及舞蹈信託基金全額獎學金前往紐約伊士曼音樂學院深造，取得聖樂文憑，管風琴演奏碩士及博士學位。二零一二年，她獲第六屆邁阿密國際管風琴大賽亞軍。林氏曾於世界各地演奏，包括中國、加拿大、英國、香港、日本、澳門、荷蘭、紐西蘭和美國。最近的演出包括與日本Asia Collegium Musicum合作演奏韓德爾的《管風琴協奏曲》、於2017香港藝術節與辛辛那提交響樂團演奏聖桑《第三交響曲「管風琴」》及與澳門三個女聲合唱團灌錄三張唱片錄音。
Eric Yip, Cellist
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Eric Yip received his early musical training from Chai Hon Fong under the Instrumental Music Training Scheme of Music Office. With the Hong Kong Jockey Club Dance and Music Fund, Yip got his Master of Music from the Chicago College of Performing Arts under the tutelage of John Sharp and Richard Hirschl. Prior to the CCPA, Yip graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with the Bachelor of Music and his principal teacher was Professor Ray Wang.
Experienced in orchestral playing, Yip is active in the major orchestras in Hong Kong. Yip is currently a member of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and a freelance player of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Before returning to Hong Kong, Yip was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. He had participated in music festivals in the past: the International Menuhin Music Academy, the Asian Youth Orchestra, the Canton International Summer Music Academy, the Kirishima Music Festival. In 2010, he participated in the Pacific Music Festival as principal cellist.
Outisde the orchestra scene, Yip is active as a chamber musician and soloist. He is the founding member of the Romer String Quartet. He has been giving chamber recitals in the Portugal, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, China, and the United States, where the Romer String Quartet made their Carnegie Hall debut in February 2016. He was featured in the Hong Kong Arts Festival as a guest performer in 2013 and 2014. He played the Tchaikovsky Pezzo Capriccioso with the Hong Kong Symphonic Cordiality in their Taiwan tour in April 2013 and he was being invited to give his solo debute in Kuala Lumpa playing the Haydn Cello Concerto in C major in 2016. He is being invited again to give a tour recital in Malaysia this summer.
He was a member of faculty of the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra from 2011-2013. In the last two summer, he gave masterclasses in the Hong Kong Youth Music Camp upon the invitation of the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
