Summer Organ Academy for Adults 2024
8 June – 28 July 2024
The “Organ Academy for Adults” is a summer programme for keyboard players over the age of 18 who want to learn to play the organ, or for those who already have some acquaintances on the instrument.
It is designed for those who have achieved at least an intermediate level of keyboard proficiency. Previous organ study is not required; beginners are welcome. This summer organ academy will include:
– One-to-one individual lessons (60 mins x 4) on pipe organs
– Practice sessions on pipe organs
– Workshops on a variety of topics, including an introduction to the mechanism of a pipe organ
– Site visits to venues with pipe organs on two Saturday afternoons
– Programme Inauguration: 12:00pm, 8 June 2024 (Sat) at Chapel, SKH Tang Shiu Kin Secondary School
– Final Students’ Recital: 7:30pm, 28 July 2024 (Sun) at Concert Hall, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts

Fees:
Early Bird Discount (apply on or before 5 May 2024):
Programme fee is HK$5,800 (Tuition Fee: HK$4,000 + Refundable Deposit*: HK$1,800)

Programme fee is HK$6,800 (Tuition Fee: HK$5,000 + Refundable Deposit*: HK$1,800)
*A refund of HKD1,800 is eligible for participants who maintain a minimum of 80% attendances of lessons, workshops and site visits.
Registration fees are non-refundable. Full refund will be given or cheque will be returned should the applicant is not accepted.
