Not to be missed: the Hong Kong Chapter of the American Guild of Organists is organising a Choral Conducting Masterclass.

Details are as below:

Date: 21st November, 2020 (Saturday)

Time: 10.30am to 12:30pm

Venue: 6/F Chapel, HKSKH Tang Shiu Kin Secondary School (9 Oi Kwan Road, Wanchai)

Speaker: Mr Felix Yeung (Provincial Music Director, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui; Director of Music, St John’s Cathedral)

The masterclass will provide a platform for conductors from churches or schools to work with a small octet on a simple piece of no more than 5 minutes in duration. Conducting techniques, rehearsal skills and interpretation will be the major topics of discussion.

We are now opening up a quota of 4 conductors (must be an AGOHK member in good standing) for podium time. We also welcome observers to attend the masterclass. Conducting in this Choral Conducting Masterclass must be our AGOHK member in good standing.
